Hi friends!
I have applied for my I-485 in June 2007.
This is what i got on 29 Nov-2007
On November 29, 2007, we mailed you a decision on your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
and on Dec 11th my status changed to
On December 11, 2007, the post office returned our last written notice on this case as undeliverable
My attorney got letters that my wife and daughter got denied as mine was denied..i am runing out of time and still do not know why it was denied..
we are at the same address where we got our EAD's and AP's and we have been checking the mail box every day to find out the reason.
if somebody who knows or gone through the same please share with me what you did and what happened.

It's bravo IV. Each of us should tell and motivate others to join IV. You see for most part, your posting in these forums in IV is very anonymous. I think except for yourself, no one can get see your profile details including your full name, phone number etc.
Also, keep looking for opportunities to write to editors, anchors etc., whenever they speak rubbish. All that we are doing now is letting the media know that legal immigrants have huge issues and unresolved problems. We are writing to them that things have been very unfair. We are educating them.
As I said in many posts in this forum:
1) Speak and/or write to your employers about these issues. I have done so on many occasions. They have the greatest influence and benefit on the CIR outcome.
2) Write to news anchors.
3) Write and motivate your colleagues.

I recently applied for EAD renewal and after three weeks of that I saw LUD changed on my 485 apllication for consequetive two days. Any Idea why ?
By the way my case is ACT 21 ( 485 filed on 2007 july) and my priority day is not even close to be current.
Any suggestions will be appreciated ?

see, i would never think to break a graphic apart. in fact: i don't. i just import something, convert it to a symbol and that's it.

After the renewal, I got a passport with a new passport number (the old passport is still there stapled with the new one).
My labor and H1B all have the old #. Is there a need to do anything with the new passport number wrt to my existing H1 and labor and such?

I am not sure how your T and R is ,American Accent has T/R in unique way
American accent uses toungue movements in a specific way (just like any languague has its own movements)
It depends from person to person ,and the teacher helped me personally as per my need
And yes Im still practising my Exercises
IMHO, Any one will not get the accent because of training. One will come closer to the accent only over time. How ever, it will never be perfect.
On the flip side, why would any Highly Skilled Immigrant working in American companies want to learn "accent" off of work. Their work place offers a lot than the website suggested.

Tecnically I-140, labor cert belongs to the company. But it is always good to have a copy. I do not think it is necessary to have these docs to invoke AC21. Also, you may not necessarily get RFE for using AC21 either.

There is no such thing as duplicate EAD. Everytime the EAD is lost, USCIS issues a new EAD with new dates of approval and expiry i.e. they treat it as renwal. If you are not using EAD, don't bother to apply for one. It costs around $300+(i am not sure on this) and needs to be renewed every year.

The Conrad 30 J-1 physician waiver program is good news.
IV Physicans group worked on it led by Core team member- Paskal. Paskal had made several trips to DC to get support for the bill. IV had also sent a letter of support and provided guidance in its advocacy effort to people involved.
Paskal may have to update the group on the provisions that went into the final amendment.

My PD is Jun 2003; EB2-India
I am JBARRETT recepient but I got my stuff cahsed the otehr day at TSC. I guess the late was because of the tranfser of cases from NSC to TSC and nothing to do with BARRETTTT!!!!!!!!!!

It happened to me as well, Last year my denied my Wife AP the Reson was that her 485 is approved, we send them the letter that its not the case and it was a mistake.....In the end we had to re- apply. I wonder if they can Print it on the same day in case of an emergency, why can't they give you the one which is already approved....weired people ...weired USCIS...

You cant file H1 on your own. You need ur employers signature on it and ur employer has to file the petition. Even if you beat all that it is still very very risky to file on your own.
I am not filing on my own, I am trying to just do the paper work on my own and try to save unnecessary attorney fees. Of course my employer is going to sign the forms.

Thanks again Kirupa. I went back over the above post and it helped me answere some of the questions I had, but I do have one more if you don't mind. I have this little project almost wrapped up now. When complete the app will do the following:
-Imports Metadata.xml file generated by Deep Zoom Composer
-On import it will populate the databound image and text boxes with the original data
-On import it will also add four new "tag" elements to the original xml file
-The user will be able to navigate all of the original images and coresponding tags (your MIX08 presentation helped me create the navigation piece ((thanks!))
-The user can add new "tag" data to any of the old and new fields and the new data will overwrite the original xml file when the "save" button is clicked.
I have everything working great. Now I just need to figure out how to take my new "tag" elements and add them into all of the nodes on import. I know how to do this to one node, but I am not sure how to add the new elements to every "Image" node in the file. Here is the code I am using to make this work for the first node:

I am sure if Guest Woroker Programs and hence CIR is enacted...there will be a free for all...illegals scrambling to ge their Tax etc in place so that they wont be deported. Hopefully they are not allowed to file for PR so soon that there is a even bigger queue for I485...and even CIR ends up providing no relief to us.

pappu, is there a separate effort on part of IV towards a legal-immigration based bill, where issues such as visa number capture will be taken up? It has been officially reported within the Ombudsman report that 182,694 have gone unused since 2000.
