WELCOME TO RETROGRESSION!!!!
I'm from Bangladesh and EB3. As you know the I485 was current in July and i applied along with my EAD and AP. but this month in visa bulletin i found that the date went back to 2002.
My question is: are they going to consider my application current or i stuck in the backlog. my understanding is that the visa bulletin reflects the availibility to send the application....they received my application on July 2nd, 2007.
someone please clarify the matter please.......thanks ahead

I have one question that I will post here. I do not want to open a new thread.
I am inviting my in-laws and I filled their DS156 forms online. After filling everything, it generated the pdf file of DS156. In that pdf file, there is one section in upper right hand corner called "DO NOT WRITE IN THIS SPACE". Under that section there is a line (fill in the blanks type) starting with "On ______ by _____ under section 214(b) 221(g) ".
Now after generating the pdf, the appointment date was automatically put into this section. Example: "On 01 January 2009 by ......".
I am worried why they put the date there and the date was not there when I took appointment for my parents. I also checked my collegues parents DS156, and the date was still not there. It is Mumbai consulate.
Can somebody please confirm if they had similar experience and they got their parent's or in-laws visa granted??

Bluez if dates move back then they will take effect from Sept 01 and you are already attending interview in Aug. Now as per law there no other bulletin can be issued for Aug again. If you rememebr same thing happend last year in July and then second bulletin had to be withdrawn. So don't worry have fun and enjoy.

I am in Philadelphia so i would assume Vermont center. Is that a fair assumption, coz i have a previous I-140 and to the best of my knowledge it had gone to the Vermont center back then.
However back in the day there was no premium processing for I-140 so things may have changed :(
Has anyone in the North east USA recently received any approvals from the Vermont center?
140s are done in Nebraska or Texas now.

As far as I see, here is an issue related to encoding; you have to know the Encoding of the file (or it's Code Page in order to get the encoding) and after that, read from file using the encoding, like:

So, your quotes are transformed because of the usage of a wrong encoding.

receiving RFE during 485 stage has become more of a common thing. Dont worry about it. Once you get the letter, prepare a response with the right evidence with the help of the attorney, and you should be fine.

Hi All,
I have my labor filed and approved for EB3 March 2005 PD. My I140 too has been approved in June 2007. I filed for 485 on July 2nd. I would like to know whether I can now start a fresh EB2 and also apply for I140 and use the older Eb3 priority date of March 2005. I have not changed my company I need guidance for experts in this regard.
Just for information, my I140 was approved after I had applied for 485

Guys,
I have a question about interfiling. My signature explains my green card situation. My EB3 I-140 with a PD of 9/2001 is still not approved.
Is it true that USCIS never responds to interfiling requests ? As per my attorney, they accept the interfiling letter and process it or they don't. My attorney is pretty darn good and honestly have no complaints till now but this particular information is kind of bothering me and just want to be sure.
Would appreciate if anyone could help me clear this up.

Hi, I wouldn't bank on what officer says as it is not binding. You need valid AP to enter US and there should be no confusion about it.
You should take Employment verification letter and latest stubs although it is not 'required'. I believe your July 20th paystub should be sufficient but if you have access to your latest electronic paystubs(ADP website) it is not a bad idea to print them out. Otherwise don 't bother.

I have my last pay stub was July 20th 09 and planning to go on vacation on Aug 20 and coming back in Sep th. What I'm missing is immediate pay stubs, is it required to have same?

I feel your pain. Here is my advice. Talk to your local Senator. I have been in contact with my local senator since Nov 2008. Finally, i got my I485 approved on 10th Feb, yet to receive cards though.
My senator, the longest serving in the senate history, contacted at least 3 times with USCIS, as recent as Jan 28th. So just take their help, dont even hesitate.
Our priority date is not yet current but that seem like a good idea. How do I go about finding who to contact.

Just to clarify a bit more, can i still file for I-140 with her being primary(as cross chargibility is applied) while she is on F1 or wold it lead to conflict in visa status? SHe does not exits on my PERM application, but she is currently with me on H4, suggesting her intent to immigrate with my PERM application
