Online case status can be confusing and sometimes incorrect. Your employer has paid for premium processing, which entitles them to contact USCIS through dedicated premium processing channels. They respond very quickly on these channels. Urge your employer to contact them, if there are any doubts about the status.

Thank you for your reply.My employer contacted VSC.They told him that there was an error in the system sometime back but what ever the status is showing in online is the current status and if they require anything they will contact him.

I would say don't put too much emphasis on these kind of stories, if the CIR bill is not going to be worked on then why did the senator schedule this meeting ? just for fun ?!

I am not optimistic that something will come out real soon, but at the same time, I think something will definitely happen, at least the piece meal approach

Plus since CIR doesn't pass, he can go to the independents and say .....we didn't pass amnesty. He gets to play both sides.

You can use extension tubes for all lenses on either Nikon or Canon cameras (obviously, on a Canon, they need to have Canon mount, and on a Nikon thye need to be Nikon mount).
Canon (and/or Nikon) may be using some special conversion signalling in the extension tube to inform the camera of the extension tubes existance. The teleconverters from Canon does this, whilst some other teleconverters of non-Canon brand do not. However, I think the extension tubes are much simpler animals, so they're probably just straight through connection of wires.
On Nikon, really old lenses are able to work with modern cameras, but some of the automatic functions aren't able to work (obvious things like the autofocus doesn't work on non-AF lenses, and you may not be able to use automatic aperture settings, which also may mean that the camera doesn't know the aperture and can't do automatic time selection either... How much functionality is lost depends on the age of the lens).
Canon on the other hand made a "big changeover", where they obsoleted the old mount and made a complete new, incompatible one when they introduced autofocus some 20 or so years ago.

I just received a FP notice for my wife scheduled for Sep 19, 2007. I have not received mine yet (I am the primary applicant), I have a few questions regarding this. Please help me if you have any information.
1. Is it normal for the primary applicant to not receive FP notice at the same time as dependent?
2. Can my wife get it done without me getting an FP notice?

Either you can enrich your skills by joining some short term courses or do small work (like teaching kids/ day care/ dance classes/ singing etc) where in you can earn CASH .................. I am not sure of your background so cannot comment on choices that you have.

I was working with a company until November 2007. I went to India in Dec and came back in Feb and was out of project until April 2008. During this time my relation with my employer gone bad and he threatened to cancel my H1 & I140 application. I transferred my H1 to the new company and is on project and is working with them from May 2008 till now. For the 8 months I worked in 2008 I got a total salary of 50,000 based on annual salary of $75K. This is less than the prevailing wages. Since my W2 is only $50,000 I'm worried about my immigration prospects. I’m in my 6th year and just started my Labor process with the new company.
My current company is ready to help me, but they cannot run any payroll for last year, but can provide bonus for last year to make the total of last year up to $60k. They are a small co. and have never done this before.
How can we include this bonus in my W2 (I haven't filed my taxes so far, the company also hasn't filed their 2008 taxes)

I don't think that with the EAD renewal receipt you can continue working. Right now, the EAD is valid for 1 year from the day the process and print your card and you cannot specify the employment dates(or they are ignored anyway). It works differently than an H-1B extension where you can specify the dates and even when they process you application say in April and you asked for it to start in march, the approval notice will have the starting period in March. For EAD, if they processed it in April, the starting date is in April.

The online status of your H1 petition is irrelevant when you obtain a SSN card. If the SS people are making it a problem, what they are doing is ILLEGAL. They probably lack essential training for a SS employee. They should accept the notice you show them as proof of approval. If they do not, they are supposed to accept your application for a SS card pending further verification, where they manually contact USCIS and verify your approval (through electronic SAVE, or traditional SAVE forms).
If they refuse, demand to ask for a supervisor, and explain that online statuses sometimes never get updated because USCIS is not required to do so.

Yes, I did get 10 yr multiple entry visa for my mom. Sponsored my mom for visa in late 08, Dad no more, and was very worried since she is a widow and couple friends mom's visa was denied with similar circumstance. I'm on AOS, also used AC21. Did included all the documents, including copy of EAD, 485 RN and EVL from current employer. My mom works for central govt, in addition to docs I submitted she also took a NOC from her office and also a leave approval showing 3 months leave and copy of document showing property (only home) ownership in India. But nothing was asked/reviewed except a couple question about the sponsor(me) like work, duration of stay in US, last time in India, etc and was issued a visa. Ensure the paper work is done correctly and placed in order. The better the paper work, fewer the questions. Good luck.

There is some possibility that India EB-2 could again become available if it appears that the demand for India EB-1 will not exceed the annual limit, but, that determination will not be able to be made until the second half of the fiscal year.

I am starting this thread after I experienced that CIS Ombudsman is actively helping EB as well as other immigrant community in getting their problems with USCIS resolved very quickly. We are fortunate to have such a platform to log our problems and get solution.

You do not always have a LUD on your 485 when your EAD/AP is processed. I have had 4 such applications so far, my wife likewise. Once, out of these 8 times(Collectively for both of us) there was an LUD and subsequently an easily cleared up RFE(about current job) for me.
LUDs on 485 are more frequent when you are about to get biometrics notice or when they are processing your file or before your petition is approved.

Yeah I think it makes sense to fill I9 form because that way you make it clear that your intent moving forward is to be on AOS rather than H1. In case you dont do it then you are on dual status with H1 being primary status so in that case it is open to wide interpretation of CIS officers to classify it as out of status or in status.
